Afghanistan : Thirty Taliban insurgents killed as suicide vests explode

Kabul, Aug 11 :-- At least 30  Taliban insurgents were killed after suicide attack vests exploded prematurely in a gathering of Taliban militants in western Farah province of Afghanistan.

 

Local Khaama Press quoted Government officials as saying that the incident took place on Thursday in the restive Bala Bolok district.

 

Provincial governor’s spokesman Nasir Mehri confirmed the incident and said the Taliban insurgents were killed after two suicide bombing vests went off prematurely.

 

He said a number of the senior Taliban commanders were also among those killed.
