Kolkata: India all out for 172 in first innings

Kolkata ,Nov 18:-- India were all out for 172 in their first innings at lunch on the third day of the opening Test between India and Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata today. The hosts had resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 74 for 5.

 

Cheteshwar Pujara stood tall amidst the top order ruins. He made 52. Wridhhiman Saha, 29, Md. Shami 24 and Ravinder Jadeja 22 were the other notable contributors to the Indian total.

 

For Sri Lanka, Suranga Lakmal captured 4 wickets. Dasun Shanaka, Lahiru Gamage and Dilruwan Perera took two wickets apiece.

 

Almost two days of play was lost due to rains and wet outfield.
