Pakistan violates ceasefire, resort to firing and shelling in Poonch

 Srinagar,Jan 31:-- In yet another ceasefire violation along the Line of Control, Pakistani forces resorted to firing and shelling in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir last night. Defence sources told AIR that Pakistani Army started unprovoked firing targeting some Indian positions and civilian areas in Degwar sector around 11 PM. Later, the firing from across the LoC was extended to adjoining Shahpur, Balakote and Mankote sectors.

 

 

 Army troops guarding the borderline retaliated and gave a befitting reply to Pakistan Army's firing. Intermittent exchange of fire continued till wee hours. There is no report of any causality or injury to the Indian side. Small arms, automatics and mortars were used in firing.
