President to visit Gujarat today

Gandhinagar,Oct 2:-- President, Ram Nath Kobind will visit Gujarat today. He will commence his engagements by paying his tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at his birth place, Kirti Mandir, Porbandar.

 

Later, he will attend a function at Kirti Mandir to declare rural Gujarat as Open Defecation Free (ODF).

 

 

The President will also inaugurate Jetty and other facilities at Jafarabad Fishing Harbour, upgradation of Veraval and Porbandar fishing Harbour; upgradation of Navibandar, Miyani and Salaya Fish Landing Centre.

 

He will lay the foundation stone for development of Mangrol Phase-III fishing Harbour and inaugurate the Mangrol Rural Water Supply Augmentation Scheme of 45 villages at Mangrol.
