CM Amarinder Singh orders probe into Punjab land purchase scam

 Chandigarh,Jun 23:-- Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has ordered an inquiry into the alleged scam related to purchase of land in Fatehgarh Sahib district in which crores were said to have been embezzled. Intervening on a calling attention notice yesterday the chief minister said the matter would be thoroughly probed.

 

The calling attention notice was raised in the Assembly by Mohali MLA Balbir Singh Sidhu regarding bungling of crores of rupees in the purchase of the said land at exorbitant rates - almost double the prevailing market rate.
